This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and self-motivated Management Accountant to join the business; this is a full-time permanent role, working for a highly profitable and well-established business.

This will be a permanent role and will offer the opportunity to work for an enthusiastic team within a growing and highly profitable business.

This position will report directly to the Group Finance Director.

As an ideal candidate, you will be responsible for:

Monthly management accounts preparation

Monthly review of results of our subsidiaries

Monthly review Budget vs. Actual variance

Preparing monthly financial reports (stock, budgets, costs etc.)

Assisting with the preparation of the Accounts Pack for review

Balance sheet reconciliations

Preparing accruals, prepayments and other journals as required

Fixed Assets reconciliation and controls

Bank reconciliations

Resolving queries on accounts

Undertaking financial administration duties

Dealing with financial records

Uploading financial data to the group accounting system

Assisting with the year-end audit and budget preparation

Liaise with line managers, group accountants, and external accountants’ auditors regarding any statutory and legal requirements.

To succeed in this position, you will have previous experience in a similar role and have a sound working knowledge of Word and Excel.

You will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work using your own initiative.

You will be working 5 days per week.

Typical qualities of the successful applicant will include:

Full or Part qualified CIMA or ACCA or actively studying towards a qualification or qualified by experience in similar roles

Excellent Excel skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong problem-solving and attention to detail capabilities.

Strong interpersonal skills are required to liaise confidently with other stakeholders within business as well as the ability to challenge individuals where required.

Positive and pro-active attitude

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to work autonomously as an effective member of a diverse team.

Prior knowledge of ERP/product costing systems and gross margin/stock control would be an advantage.
