Group HR Advisor
Full/Part Time Permanent
Based in Lichfield, Staffordshire
30/37.5 working hours per week - happy to consider either.
Up to £32,500 per annum, (Pro-rata if you only want to do Part-time)
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work for an established health and social care provider company, where you can really add value and make a difference. Ideally, knowledge of the Care Quality Commission would be advantageous but NOT essential. Essential is employee relations experience to handle complex discipline and grievance/ ER cases.
HRCareers and Nationwide Recruitment Service are looking for an inspirational and motivational HR advisor/ HR Business Partner to manage a small HR team.
You will need to have robust employee relations and HR experience, including dismissal, and have robust Employee Relations, Discipline, and grievance up to dismissal.
You will be working on HR/ ER and strategic HR issues and policies including employee lifecycle, attrition, and talent.
It is a very hands-on role. The individual needs to be proven and resilient and any experience of working with medical teams would be great but that can be learnt.
Job purpose
Working closely with the HR Team and the wider workforce, in liaison with the Head of HR, the Advisor will deliver a comprehensive solution-focused HR service that is value-added and is in line with strategic aims, objectives, business plans, and policy.
Varied and HR Generalist in capacity. Provide advice and support to staff throughout the Hospice Group.
To provide an encompassing HR service throughout every stage of the employee’s experience throughout their employment life cycle. To ensure that managers and employees are equipped with best practice to foster a high-performance culture and support Organisational Development throughout.
Acting as a conduit between the Head of HR and the HR Team.
The role entails but is not limited to: -
Develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business.
Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organisational development.
Participate in the continual development of the Employee's Life Cycle, and make recommendations where needed to adjust the people strategy.
Lead the Recruitment and Selection end-to-end process, providing best practice advice and ensuring compliance.
Manage the HR System.
Manage Occupational Health
Monitor the compliance of onboarding of staff
Support the Payroll Manager
Daily management of starters/absence/leaver's absence and maternity t
Support and coach Line Managers through the disciplinary and grievance processes.
Delivery of HR-related workshops e.g. Recruitment and Selection, Diversity and Inclusion.
Work with appropriate leads to develop HR Systems and any associated transformational projects.
Ensure compliance with policies and requirement of the Care Quality Commission.
Produce quarterly summaries, audit and analysis providing narrative where appropriate to support the Head of HR.
Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
CIPD Membership
CIPD Level 5 Diploma or willingness to work towards
Experience of managing and advising line managers on performance management and employee relations cases
Experience of recruitment and on boarding
Experience of HR Information Systems Desirable:
Experience of meeting standards for a regulatory body e.g., Care Quality Commission
